The 2024 Hyundai Kona is here with a brand new design and more performance and features. The upcoming Kona will offer more refined engine options starting from a 1.6L turbo-four and a 2.0L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder. We assume that the hybrid model will follow after the ICE-powered models. The upcoming Kona will start selling in the global markets later this year and full specifications will follow after the launch.

The 2024 Hyundai Kona will offer two powertrain options. The base model will pack a 2.0L naturally aspirated inline-four engine that will make 147 horsepower paired with a CVT auto transmission. The sportier N-line model will come with a 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that will make 195 hp and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque. The N-line Kona will come paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch auto transmission. The base model will be able to accelerate 0-100 kph in under 8 seconds while the performance-spec N-line model will offer an acceleration from 0-100 kph in under 7.0 seconds and will offer a top speed of over 250 km/h.
Hyundai has also revealed a hybrid model that will feature a 1.6L turbo-four hybrid engine that will make 139 hp of power. The 2024 Hyundai Kona will offer a longer wheelbase compared to the current model with 2.3 inches long. The SUV will offer a spacious and roomier cabin with a more minimal design and large cargo space. More details are yet to come as the official launch will reportedly happen in the third quarter of 2023.
